MICA BENEFIT FASHION SHOW
For the past 27 years, the Maryland Institute College of Art has held a student fashion show organized under the Center of Culture and Identity.
The 2020 showcase was indefinitely postponed as a result of the COVID19 pandemic, and my initial vision for the show changed radically in the months of uncertainty. The remaining designers eventually heard back from the Center that we would be shifting into a virtual showcase, which led me to teach myself how to use Blender as an attempt to capture the same level of stage presence as the original garments (in my mind) would've had.
Below are shots from our in-person photoshoot we did months before the pandemic hit. The transfer to virtual was ultimately for the better, ( I'm bad at sewing) I eventually learned how to sculpt on Blender, which I did not know was free!
